Hey guys some advice please,
Can you connect a network cable to this machine and then access the drive on the network or is it on able to be accessed via streaming?
What I mean is can you send, copy and delete files of the drive in the machine over lan?

Thanks

Yes, you can either connect with an ethernet cable or you can view the drive wirelessly. You can then perform whatever actions you choose on the drive.

Copying files wirelessly is a little slow though so it makes more sense to add movies via USB.

Wow so basically the network will see it as an actual drive and allow for file transfer and not just streaming?

Thanks :)
I want to keep the box downstairs
And not have to move it around

Please can someone help?
I have wired this unit up via cable on the lan and shared the hdd.
I now try access the machine over the network to see the drive, \\192.168.0.7
Bittorrent and Samba are off for some reason

I cans ee the network from the player but not other way around and I can explore from the player but not from any machine.
cannot see it and keep getting this error:

Did you format your drive inside your unit with the latest FW?

It installs Samba and BT extentions onto the drive after the format.
