I purchased a PS3 in december 2010. It's awesome and I love it... I stopped playing it at the beginning of this year due to my studies...
Now about a month back we had a lightening storm and my home was struck... my PS3, pc, dstv decoder, tv, adsl router, telephone was all damaged. ( not to mention the carpet in the bedroom was uprooted)
Thankfully I was insured for household contents... or so I was thought.. The insurer has refuted the TV and PS3 part of the claim. They claim that these items was damaged through "Wear and Tear" and not due to the lightening! This is such ****ing BS.
I know for a fact that my ps3 was working and now its not :/ the only thing that could have damaged it was the lightening.
Now I could use my psn account to prove that it was working but as mentioned i stopped playing due to my studies.
So I have undertaken to get an independent assessment done to determine the cause of the damage of the PS3.
Can anyone recommend a certifed company that could assist in this regard? preferably in and around Durban.
This entire thing has infuriated me no end because I just finished exams and I couldn't wait to start playing again!
