Is it possible to access the ps3 network via local only bandwidth?

Thanks.

It used to be - although it might have changed recently.

What you do is - you use an international account to schedule downloads - then start them, then switch accounts to a local only account - and it keeps downloading.

Oh nice man... Nice.. wish someone told me this before i downloaded the freaking MGS4 demo lol.

LOL - yeh - I tried the above, and it does work - downloaded about 10gb - haven't done it recently, but on ps3za.co.za there have been reports that it doesn't work anymore.

So whats the deal? Has it got something to do with the Akamai servers? Or do Sony actually support South Africa locally with data :O

So can anyone confirm that this still works? Switching int accounts with local ones?

Well I presume so. If you read the other PS3/KZ2 threads some members downloaded the KZ2 on a local only account. I already scheduled mine for downloading and paused it until I am capped or I can get a Axxess prepaid local only account from ENGEN.

Im buzy useing my local telkom internet right now to download stuff i queued with internatal bandwith, it works with all accounts euro/usa/japan!! NICE ONE!!!
