PlayStation or Xbox

Sadly I am one of those who did not support it on Xbox/PlayStation, but totally support it on Nintendo, but that's cause it became useless on the others.

Xbox/PS games always needed a massive day one patch, making physical copies kinda useless. If you need internet to play the game, why have a physical disc in the 1st place. All our physical Nintendo games can be played without internet.

I don't buy games to resell, and even there, Nintendo wins, as their games tend to go up in value, especially once a generation has ended.

Switch 2 by the looks of it, gonna kill that in the future as well. fking gamekey cards /spit.

You can look at https://www.doesitplay.org/ who tracks this sort of thing.

Nintendo is better yes but the majority of physical PS5 games do not require a patch to play 1.0.

Thanx for this but I see the list doesn't cover game-breaking bugs. :(

They do, it's under the No*: yellow section:

No*:

  • The release is content-complete on the physical medium, but has bugs that are either too severe or too many to provide a mostly flawless experience. The game can still be beaten and can also likely be enjoyed for the most part.
Game breaking classifies as a clear download required:

Yes:

  • The release either has a hard-coded prompt for a download, misses essential content or is not on the physical medium at all.
  • Bugs are so severe that they either make playing the game extremely unpleasant or downright unbeatable.

See edit :D

I have misunderstood your never paid full price as a brag about getting games cheaper.

It's hard keeping up inbetween the distractions of coding and teams meeting torture.

They certainly are.

Was more a vague reference to PlayStation being expensive - it doesn't have to be. Sure, if you want to play COD on day-1, you will need to shell out.

Didn't know where else to put this...

When backing up your PS4 HDD to be used as a replacement if the original fails, is it best to format the new one in FAT32 or exFAT?

I know about the 4 gig limit of FAT32, but some say that exFAT doesn't always work in the PS4....
