I have seen some plc programmers on here, so I'm hoping to get lucky.
Does anyone know how to test a DP port on a S7-300 2DP processor? I'm running a TP170A via profibus DP, but can not get it to connect. If I change the HMI over to MPI and drop the baud rate it works fine and I can upload and download using the same cable, but as soon as I change the configuration to DP 1.5Mb the unit does not connect. I have tried a new cable, new PB connectors and made sure the end of line terminator switches are correct. I wan't to test the DP port before replacing, the 315 2DP I'm using costs about R30K and I don't want to change it if I don't need to.
