i loaded a 1G bundle at the beginning of the month via my phone contract. because i don't get 3G where i live i have found it impossible to get thru the Gig. the bundle resets tomorrow and i still have 750Mb left!

so i phone 808 & tell them not to renew the bundle, and suprise suprise they tell me i will only be charged for the part of the bundle that i used, not forfeit. how cool is that! this was very unexpected, i was resigned to losing what i couldn't use.

This sounds almost too good to be true. Please let us know how much you get refunded.

Yeah, sorry to say but I wouldn't be surprised if the whole office wasn't having a good laugh at your expense. I don't know of a single company that is that "forgiving"

*Sorry sir, you only ate half the bag of oranges, here have a refund*

Just doesn't happen in S.A.

ok lets see you have a 1gig bundle added to your cellphone contract witch cost you R289 and the out of bundle rate is when your 1gig is up R1.20per MB

Lets say they gonna bill you for what you have used so 250MB x R1.20 = R300

is that right

you will have to pay R11 in

And if you don't pay that R11 it will be recorder at the credit bureau:D

In this case there is no need to be cynical. I'm no MTN apologist but they will refund you according to MTN in bundle rates. They are pretty cool about that sort of thing.

indeed i have no reason for disbelieving them.
i had assumed i'm just gonna be shafted so i had readied my petroleum jelly, but then the good came. mtn told me u pay for what u used. maybe this is the benefit of a data contract or buying a recurring bundle.

i mean the network have absolutely no reason to bill you (in arrears) for data u did not use. prepaid (that'd be like them giving money back to you) maybe i can understand, but contract no.
