I exist only in my own mind ...
And now, from Eskom's blackout site:

NOTICE
We have not commenced load shedding today as communicated to you on Friday, 28 March 2008. We are clarifying the situation and will advise you on the way forward by tomorrow, Tuesday, 1 April, 2008.

Hope that isn't Eskom's way of trying to make an April Fool's joke.

As a matter of interest, does anyone know whether preemptive blackouts are considered by Eskom to be part of their so-called "load shedding" - in other words, were the guaranteed preemptive blackouts to be in effect, would the Eskom load shedding site say that so-called "load shedding" was in effect or was NOT in effect?

Probably doesn't matter as their so-called pr is totally unreliable!

maybe this should be called "relative public relations' - where they piss us off making us think loadshedding will start today, then when they say there won't be cuts, they're expecting us to go "thanks eskom! you're the best! all is forgiven!"

It is very simple ,it is bonus time and they don't want to risk their bonus.

In regards to this bonus issue.

There is only one solution that should be acceptable, all the upper management need to receive performance reviews, which of course they will all fail dismally and should therefore be required to pay back their bonuses from previous years.
