Hi Everyone. I have been looking at getting a portable power station for a while now but have been put off by high prices. Earlier today I came across this: https://energyeco.co.za/#

What do you think? R7500.00 all in. Surely there must be an error in pricing.

Similar units from other companies are north of R50k....

Scam
Pretty much took this pic and photoshopped out the logo

Wouldn't touch with a pole. Not even a damn long one.

Are South African prices similar to international prices of portable power stations?

Being sold by Communica

You can't buy a 4kw inverter for that cost let alone the battery which would knock you 15-20k min

Scammers delight

These thieves are now also (as of July 23) "trading" under the name Electro Sun (https://electrosun.co.za) & on both on FB Marketplace & Gumtree & god knows where else. There website looked legit so I was stupid enough last week to take a chance & ordered & immediate EFT paid for there MT5001 5.12 kWh power station & basically a few days after I paid them, they stopped responding completely!!! to my messages/calls/ no call backs-nothing!!!!!! when I was trying to query what happened to the delivery & that's it, cost me R9500 to these low lifes !!!!!BEWARE PLEASE EVERYONE!!!!!. I learnt the hard way & sure many others have/will too. As others above did, always check scam reporting sites & Hello Peter & report them please

UPDATE: I advised FB about the "criminal" Electrosun add on there Marketplace but FB replied today stating "nothing wrong with the ad" without asking me to explain further what those damn farkers are advertising to innocent people whom are also super p...ed off with loadshedding k#k & looking for bargain priced high(ish) wattage power stations. Just waiting on Gumtree now to respond to me (if they will).

If you ever see non genuine brand named MT1001(1.2Kw) or MT3001 (3Kw) or MT5001 (5.12 Kw) power stations ads anywhere on the net, DON'T BOTHER I swear....just DON'T
