Anyone else get this?

I never used to - but the last few times I have ... And my BB9700 seems to be losing time when the battery is out.

Do we have a backup battery?

What do you mean by "Backup Battery?"

I've got a 9700 and never had to reset the time after a battery pull. Don't know about a back-up battery.

I never used to - now it says it :/

Like a PC has a watch type battery to remember the time when there is no power. Wondering if the BB has something like that? Or a memory chip, if such a thing exists?

Its meant to save all your settings even after a battery pull....if its still under warranty then take it back to them

I was under the impression that modern phones wrote time information etc to a non-volatile memory chip. Maybe try do a factory reset on the phone.

Its a retarded phone, I have to set time, set and create profiles again, change themes, reset my Phone book icon because it moves to the bottom of the menu...
I hate removing the battery or rebooting.

I still have V5.0 SW, I saw Voda has allowed us to to access wireless updates, but none loaded as yet.

I'm sure I read online that this was related to some or other update. Do a Google and have a look. It used to do that on mine but doesn't anymore. I'm on whatever the latest version 5 update is.
