 Maybe someone here can explain to me how telkom can even think about supplying TV on its network when they can’t guaranty bandwidth

Lets work this out but a normal 2hr movie is about 700mb’s if I watch TV for a day
That is 12X2hr movies which means 8400mbs will have to come down the line
How are they going to get this right if the can supply me with bandwidth to down load more then 700mb a day

Please is someone know about cable TV please explain this to me

The lines should be able to handle it. Especially as it will all be on the local network, not passing through the international links

Its a guaranteed way to take more money out of your pocket and put it into theirs, that is all.

Coming soon, to a Telkom exchange near you..

The content servers will be in the exchanges afaik so there will be no congestion on the main network..

Thats probably why they capping, so that they guarentee the availability of their tv
