Guys please can you explain this to me?

I am syncing at 9mb with Telkom.
Its stable an no issues.

why then using a capped account I only get 6-7 on international.
when using an MWEB uncapped 4mb, I only get 2mb
Please explain this to me
 
The 6-7 is because of protocol overheads. I get 8.5 on my 10mb line.
The 2 is because mweb ;)

Hi marine1

You should be getting closer to 4mbps on your account when doing a speed test.
Would you mind to PM me the username you are using and the ADSL telephone number.
I'd like to check this out for you to see why you only getting 2mbps speeds.

Contention ratios.
Possibly also TCP window.
 
Hi There,
You should be getting what you pay for so do let mweb look at it for you.
Your 2 speed tests really both look the same in terms of performance I I suspect congested exchange is going to be the root cause.

You mean a shaped, highly contended home uncapped account? Sure.
