So last night just before my car broke, we were on Rivonia freewheeling to a red robot.

There was a car in front of us (we weren't even doing 10km/h) when my boyfriend just moved to the next lane to it to stop.

There were no solid lines. We were not over the speed limit. We weren't over the solid markings of the robot.

Then there was a flash. Now I would LOVE to know what the hell we did wrong?

I made a note of the day and the road and if I get a fine I will be disputing it.

As long as your car wasn't in the camera's range, then there's diddly squat the traffic dept can do about it.

Let's wait for the imminent arrival of the fine to see what it says. If you're lucky, then the camera won't have captured your number plate... without a number plate they can do nothing :D

also, take into account that for a successful conviction of driving through a red robot note that there have to be 2 photos (one of you crossing the line, and one of you passing the intersection completely...) so if there was only one, and if I know the camera you are talking about (just before the grand) then they can do nothing to you...
