So, can anyone from iBurst let me know whether there are any plans to errect a base station in Boksburg which would provide coverage to Freeway Park and Sunward Park? I've just moved to Freeway Park and feel like I am stuck in the stone ages without my trusty iBurst connection and no alternatives in sight.

And what about a home user focused WiMax solution from iBurst? The current WiMax offerings are really attrative, the prices are quite scary though :P

Are you hiding behind those mine dumps?

If you are in a gated community or in a complex and you can obtain permission to put in a RF connection to common property like a guard hut or club house we can arrange to connect you via broadband wifi.

Unfortunatly I am behind the mine dumps and Im not in a complex or gated comunity. Currently I'm getting the car with my laptop and usb modem and going to my moms house when ever I need to use the net(or dont feel like cooking supper:D) My poor 2Mbps modem and router are just colelcting dust in my cupboard at home:cry:

I'm also in a ditch well lucky i have some coverage with an extended antenna, i am sort of forced to use 3 x 1mbit modems to some sort of decent speeds. Although the iburst teachies was here to look at the option that r00igev@@r mentioned, we just had no line of sight to the nearest base station. "cries in a bucket".... I have no added a iBurst base station on my Christmas wish list .. hell i'll even take all my other "wants and needs" off to have a base station here in my neighborhood.
 
Sooooo I found a pretty good high sight which would provide coverage for most of, if not all of Sunward Park, Freeway Park and a bit of Van Dyk Park(not that they have any modern technology in their homes :whistle:)

r00i, you provide the base station, I'll provide the engineers who install it with free Oros or home made lemonade :D

High site in question is atop one of the water towers in Sunward Park, Liefland Road. At the moment I think there are only a couple of WiMax dishes up there.

Those are bad as when they leak the container floats down the road. What's the closest shopping centre?
