Hi guys.

We sitting with a problem on my wifes Picanto. We bought the car 15th of Feb 2011 from a Kia dealership as a "demo" model. For the first while the car ran great, but now itstarted giving trouble starting. The engine cranks, and the battery is 100% fine. We took it in to the dealer they ran a diagnostics test on it and couldn't find anything wrong. It doesn't do it all the time, so they said we should use the spare key. So spare key worked until week later, and my wife got stuck, she phoned the dealership and they suggested she should trade the car in....

So now, the car is still under warranty and whenever we take it in to kia it doest do anything wrong. Ive read on google that there has been a batch of "duds" ?

Where to go from here? Car as been serviced before it was given to us by the Kia Garage.

Thanks guys.

Juan

Suckfest dude :/ I know exactly what it is like to have issues with a recently purchased used vehicle, even with low milage.

I am no expert, however we have a few very knowledgable guys here that should be able to give some advice.

Options may be to contact the ombudsman, imperial (amh) head office or potentially take it for a diagnostic at another dealership

But wait to see what some others suggest

And I hope you have your issue sorted :)

Hey,

I used to own a 2005 picanto and before i sold it in 2008, it used to give me the same problem.

Dealer (Kia Menlyn) could also not solve the problem but in general I found the dealer service quite awful.

Wont buy another kia again. Wish I could be of more help.

Sorry about that, that is a really weird one!

Weirdest part of all is Kia suggesting that you trade it in!
