Good day and thank you very much for your help.

I have my phone for 4 days now and enjoy it really very much. I tried to get the e-mail going from our exchange and was somewhat successfull. I wanted to clear everything be resetting it to factory default. I did by doing a security wipe. (Funny enough, it did not delete my e-mail.)

BUT, now my "BB App World" is not part of my menu anymore. I tried to install it from BB's website, I used the link BB e-mailed to me from here: http://uk.blackberry.com/services/appworld/download.jsp

I install it, but still it is not part of the 1st menu. I have found it under Application Center together with Flickr, Facebook, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and The Grid.

BUT, this is what I see:
BlackBerry App World 1.1.0.33
Research in Motion Limited
Downgrade

With the others it says "Not Installed" as I have not installed them. What does it mean when it says "Downgrade"?

In short, how do I get my BB App World back as an icon together with all the other menu icons.

I will really appreciate your help in solving this. I feel really broken about this.

Sincere Regards,
Deon

It might have moved it back to it original folder when you reset the phone to factory settings. Go through your folders, namely Applications and Downloads. It might be hiding there somewhere. Once you have found it, highlight it, and then press the bb menu key. Select "Move to home" and it will then move the icon back into your main menu.

Thank you very much.

I have done exactly as you have suggested.

I have noticed though, that with the previous version of App World, I could choose between free apps and paid ones. Also, all the prices were in $ and now it is in SA Rands?

Just to make sure ... Is this correct? Thanx again for your advice.

Yes, that is correct. If you have a BB ID with location South Africa, the app will display prices in Rand. As for free vs paid, that has unfortunately become less transparent with AppWorld 2.0.

When I registered my payment option in Appworld as Paypal it reverted to dollars and I'm able to get all the free apps as well.
