Hi There

I am no boffin on RAM and computer's, so I 'd appreciate help from you guys.

I have a COMPAQ EVO N1050v laptop. It is about 5 years old, and has a Pentium 4 1.8Ghz processor, and has 256MB DDR 266Mhz CL2.5 RAM.

I want to upgrade the RAM, to a 2 x 1G DDR 400Mhz, as there is 2 ram slots. Will this work on my machine ?

What would you guys recommend me doing ?? Where is the cheapest place to buy RAM in JHB area ??

Please help me !!

thanks

Unfortunatly you can only upgrade to 1Gig ( 2x 512Mb DDR 266 )...Also im not sure if you can put 400mhz in there ( sometimes they are backward compatable )...rather use 266mhz for safety sakes

Comments Kingston offers both DDR266 (KTC-P2800/xxx) and DDR333 (KTH-ZD7000) memory for this HP system. Both sets of modules can be mixed, however they will default to the lower speed when mixed.
