Please help me choose a Blackberry

I have been using a Blackberry 8520 on MTN prepaid for some time now and it is perfect for my needs regarding function and speed.

The time has now come for me to re-new my VODACOM contract and I decided to get a Blackberry.
Considering the VODACOM network and my Blackberry needs, is it worth it to get the 8520 or should I spend more and get the 9700 or Storm 2?
Is EDGE COVERAGE decent on VODACOM?

Edge coverage is terrible on Vodacom. If you must go with Vodacom then get the 9700 or Storm 2 (or port to MTN and stick with the 8520).

Take the 9700 cos its 3G and take the option where you pay the difference off in monthly payments added to your subscription. What package are you on ?

Iv got a weekender contract but upgrading to the talk 120s or something like that.
Im gonna pay R430pm and get 120 anytime minutes. It sounds a bit expensive but i need to keep the number.
And I need the Blackberry

If you're getting the Storm 2 with BIS included then that's pretty much on par with MTN's offer.

And you can port your number. I did it and have not had many problems with MTN, accept my BIS didn't activate first time round.

Edit: And stay away from their add on data bundles... But their BIS is the best
