Hello guys

I just moved into an appartment and there was already a fiber line with an ONT. I phoned supersonic for a fiber installation and told them about the ONT so they said they only needed the B number to take over the line. A B number is assuming that the line was installed by Openserve right?
There is a serial number stuck on the ONT, but it's not one I recognise. Could any of you tell me if you know what fiber provider its from?
ONT model: Nokia 2019 G240G-C
Serial number sticker: ALCLFA6A9673

Thanks!

UPDATE:

The ISP used to be Afrihost, but even with the address and the ONT serial number they can't give me the B number without the account details. The afrihost technician told me if Supersonic gives me the PPoE details and I configure my router then Supersonic will be able to get the B number, the supersonic technician said they can't do that for some reason. I'll just have to wait.

The PON light on the ONT is green and the Auth light is green, so there's an successful connection to the OpenServe network. I'm pretty sure I can get everything working myself if they just give me the right info, right?

Can you not trace it to a box on the wall of the complex or just outside? Should say there who it is.

So, wait, did you tell them it's openserve, or did you simply give them the ONT details? Your OP isn't clear.

Sorry for the confusion. I told them the fiber line is most likely Openserve, but I didn't know they can also be an ISP and don't just lay fiber infrastructure. I just used B number as a general term for the serial number.

Ok, but the B number has nothing to do with the serial number of the device. (if it is an openserve installation)

I actually didn't know this. Is the serial number then a unique device identifier? Almost like a MAC address but for fiber devices? Does the ISP then link the serial number with their "Bnumber" to route your traffic?

The B number is an openserve internal reference number that links the install with an ISP. The new ISP needs it to release the line from the old ISP to take it over.

I have another idea, I will get a lan cable and connect my PC to it using DHCP. If I then get my IP address then that may tell me the previous service provider right? Then I phone them, give them the serial number of the device and they can tell me what their internal ref number is (the B number since I'm pretty sure its openserve).

Does that sound plausible?
