I tracked down my half sister last year, after more than 25 years of not seeing her, and me not having any memory of her as I was 1 or 2 years old back then.

First thing she asked me when speaking to me on the phone, was for money to go to the doctor. Obviously I told her that this is not gonna happen. After that, she kept insisting to visit me and wanting my address.

Turns out they lived with someone, who phoned my mom as well and warned her that they took her stuff and sold it for drinking money while she was away. Her husband is also like 20 years older than her, and he started flirting with my mom on the phone.

Basically what I'm saying is, I don't regret doing it because now I won't die wondering, but be very careful.

I used a group called "Waar in die Wereld" on Facebook, and there was someone there who knew her stepmom and her.

My biological daughter found me on facebook when she was 17- all she had was a name. Took her lots of PT but she got it right.
