Hi Guys
I really need your guys help here, so i finally bought a new router RB751U i was hoping to speed my downloads up by load balancing my 2 desktop routers (1MB and 2MB)

unfortunately i cant even get one router to connect correctly (let alone 2)
I tried setting up but every time i change a setting it seems to mess-up everything, things like setting a password on the router and then i cant get onto any sites (i think i reset the thing 10 times already). I finally got it working but it seems to run so slow that i just switched off and went back to my old router.

If you don't mind posing screenshots of the setup pages and exactly what you do to get this working.

Grings, Ronald and any one else I really need help here :(

I don't know about the load balancing stuff, but I can probably help you at least get one of the modems up.

What can and can't you do?

I got the very basic setup done (PPPoE and password) it does connect, but I cant use the internet or its very slow.
I assumed its the MTU setting but there are so many different places with MTU i dont know where to start?

I dont know if you want me to put screenshots of the router setup screens of what i got?

I'll put some screenshots up tonight. Are you using WinBox?

I think i managed to get 1 connection working on port 1 surf the net is fine, i can get the second port to dial and connect but it doesn't seem to be able to allow devices connected to the router to use that port

Sounds like you are missing a masquerading rule for the second connection.

Check the second tab in the Firewall page if I remember correctly. Should have one for each connection and allow the IP range behind the Router.

You sir are a genius , that was it :)

OK so i connected both and they both connected to the net for a little while and then 1 of them just disconnects. :(

scratch that its working now, might have been problem on Iburst side

okay so both are connected at the same time, so now is it balancing and if so how can i test and if not what do i need to do?

guess not that simple:(
Lost connection last night so not too sure what Im doing wrong.

So did a little and figured i need to set some failover mechanisms
does this seem right?
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Two_gateways_failover

the first 2 ,Iburst1 and burst2 (being names of my PPPOE connection)with the distance 1 and 2 are the ones i created with the script above and changed to my set up
