Hi guys I'm new, but I'm in real need of help. I have bought 3 single view dstv decoders and need to enable my tv's at work to be able to view all of the channels from the three decoders. The thing is I have 33 tv's how do I connect them?

Please help

By the sounds of it you are installing for a bed and breakfast etc with so many tv's.

Get a commercial subscription and an installer.

I got a quote and they want R36K... It seems excessive!!

considering the amount of work involved, i don't blame them, laying calbes for 33 tv's will be murder

you can diy something like this, quad lnb (or twin into multi switch) into each of the decoders, the rf out of decoder 1, into decoder 2,rf out of decoder into decoder 3, (set each decoder to a different uhf channel) rf out of decoder 3 into a bunch of splitter (don't think you get 33 way splitter :) ) or run the wires and split them closer to the rooms (you probably going to need some boosters along the way)

also you going to need a commercial subscription, since xtra view doesn't work on more then 2 decoders (and don't think its allowed for guest houses)

Thanks a million, I'll let u know how it goes... It should be interesting!

3 decoders aint gonna work for 33 tvs of u want all the channels, go to the dstv forum okes there are clued up

Most guest houses etc that do it the dodgy way just offer one channel per decoder, I.e he will have 3 channels

Get more quotations. You can't DIY. You will need a quality launch amplifier and, depending on the network, you might need more amps along the way. If there is very long cable runs, it gets even more complicated. The guys at Space TV Randburg or the one in JHB can refer you to good installers.
