hi,

another noob question :p

i bought this pc about a year ago but have since upgraded,
i have no idea what speed this pc is :erm: , could someone perhaps help me
getting info about the speed etc form the pics i have attached ?
the hdd gave up a while back so i can't start it up and check the speed etc.

thanks in advance

Can't see too much from the pics. Have a look on the mother board - there should be a model number. Or download CPUZ (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php)

It does a pretty good job in determining the cpu type and motherboard model no.

Doh....I see the HDD died. Guess you can't do that! :)

Can you get the mobo/cpu ID from the bios or in the post screen?

ok it says intel desktop board
D845EPI/D845GVSR on the mobo

and on the processor (fan above it actually) intel c91249 - 002, N 4z01D H2, F08A-1288s2 01 AC1, DC12v 0.13A, NIDEC CORP (the coma's repesent a new line :) )

ok and the black chip on the mobo reads :
INTEL, FW82801DB, F441TB28, SL6DM, INTEL MC.01, KOREA

hope that helps...

rather get cpu-z...its much easier

or go to run and type in dxdiag, at least it shows the cpu there and maybe the mobo

thanx guys...i googled the processor :) it's 2.4ghz me thinks

thanx again for all the help.

2.4ghz what? p4, celeron, c2d, c2q? Just right click on my computer - properties and it'll tell you your processor. Or Everest Free Edition will tell you everything you need to know.
