Please help me with this. I'm a newbie to NNTP, I'm just trying this out since I got a free xsusenet account.

I'm trying to download a HIMYM ep. But the speed graph keeps spiking the whole time. I would like to know if it is supposed to be doing this? Is this normal?

I would have included a jpeg of grabit with the graph showing the spikes. But I dont know how to link it to this post

Thanks

That sound like an anti-virus catching the article first to scan and then as it is passed to grabit, it show a spike. Try disabling anti-virus temporarily and restart grabit to test. If it solves the problem, re-enable and see if you can disable NNTP scan only or just ignore it.

Could be your isp shaping usenet, What isp account you using? also xsusenet free tents to be unstable at times.

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to try that now.

I'm on a cybersmart uncapped account. I dont over download so i dont get capped. This is an xsusenet account. However it spikes then goes to zero and 2 secs later spikes again and back to zero
