I currently spend about R200 a month on prepaid and would like to get a contract with a blackberry.

It's all very confusing Vodacom sells in minutes and MTN sells in Rands, which is the best to take?

There is also a bunch of hidden charges that I don't understand.

i prefer being sold minutes...then i know what i am getting.
As for the BB, vodacom have the 8520 curve for R169 on wknd plus.
You get 120 off peak minutes (IE after 7 and on wknds) per minute billing...they were also offering free vouchers on the contract (not sure if this is still on...)
I would add on 100 minutes anytime as well and an sms bundle, prob all cost u under R400.... (out my head so apologies if its wrong)

Thanks for the response.

With minutes thou you don't really get your rates cheaper then prepaid. Meaning it's not cheaper to phone during off peak times.

Also the weekender packages is kind of a scam coz who only phones during those times?

Can you please recommend a good website comparing these contracts?

Thanks man but that's the whole problem.

So if I look at the BIS 100 contract without a phone it's R349 a month for 100 minutes. So if I take that contract it would cost me R3.49 per minute so where is the saving in taking a contract?
