My old 300mbps TP Link is giving up after about 10 years.

Please recommend a replacement that:

1. Has bridge mode - want to plug ethernet cable in and spread wifi to the room
2. Does not need POE
3. Maybe from Takealot so it can be delivered over the weekend

Thanks,

Jokes aside, while you are upgrading just do the full blown mesh setup and call it a day and never have issues again.

Or spend more and go WiFi6 if it makes sense for you.

Why Xiaomi and not for example Cudy?

You can go Cudy too, I just personally haven't used them so don't want to punt something I haven't touched before.

But I have heard good things in general.

Just be careful and read between the lines with these kits as many of them are only 10/100 which is why they are cheaper and then the Gigabit ones are a more expensive upsell.

This one looks like good value though and is also WiFi6.

Will I then keep my TPLink Archer and use the wifi mesh for the house or does this imply replacing the Archer?

Since you know TPLink, you can look at the TP Link Deco mesh.
I have one at home and I haven't had any issues

There is many option available on Amazon early BF deals from R300 to R8k
Also how big is your house, do you need a big mesh system?
I got a new router and used the old one as a mesh/access point and the whole house and garden have good signal
