Hi Guys

I need to buy a car that will only be used for commuting from PTA to Sandton so it needs to be as Fuel efficient as possible. I'm willing to spend around R50 000 for the car.

can you please give me some advice?

Use the Gautrain, put this money in an investment account. Much less stress, take a bike with on the train to cycle to the office.

Thanks but those are old cars will one of the newer Kia's or Hyundia's not be a better choice? I was looking at the Daihatsu that claims 4.4L to 100KM but I'm not too sure on it's reliability and parts availability.

If you want newer you will need to double your budget.

HONDA JAZZ 1.5i V-tech

Lot's of cars can get to that figure on the highway.

The tazz is probably your best choice for low upkeep and ease of repair.

I need to have a car as I work at clients most of the time so it can be anywhere, I also work past 10 some nights so that won't work either.

Tazz is great if u can find low mileage one! Find something that's cheap, and reliable

Get a motorbike - you will save a hell of a lot, time and petrol

Lol on the V10 Spyder. Try a search on Surf4Cars I'm sure you will find something nifty on there, also a good site to view on the state of car prices.

How about a citi golf?

prime target for thieves ...

dude just go with an alfa romeo Giulietta (new version) you know you want to be different ! :P

or a landy 3 series !

ok seriously ..... 50k ? .... hmmmm daihatsu cuore ? :D .... ok no seriously .... 2004 charade is nice

if you want reliability go toyota, then vw then nissan then ford. Its up to you in the end ! there are nice Bmw 320i's on gumtree for under 50k but meh ... gumtree is gumtree... its a nice car if you go to clients :>
