I tend to use the "Active topics" link, so stickies doesn't bother me. That way I don't miss new posts in other forums.

I think that they should stay, A better way is to allow more threads on the main page. Because there are a few pointless threads that get made that dont even belong in the "general" section. They are General, and cover all sorts, you cant just stick them in technical, cos there is plenty other info there as well.

I see no reason for them to stay, especially since there are seperate forums for each one of them....
I only ever browse the general forum, and too many stickies defeats the purpous. A sticky is supposed to highlight important info etc.

But there are many people who ONLY go there. For new users are well, and non-reged users, it makes sense to be on the main page. It is general info (hence the general section) targeted to specific areas.
