I took my Ford Escort GLi in for a service and told them that I was getting a loud vibration from the back of the car...
I got a call to say there a 4 things that need to be replaced/reconditioned...best price R13k
Power Steering pump leaking
CV joints
rear wheel bearings (cause of vibrating sounds at high speeds)
clutch plate worn
On a car that I just bought in March for R20k that is more than I can afford
Ford Dealerships say they don't service Ford Escorts
I knew a good mechanic at the Engen on Jim Fauche(sp?) but he seems to have moved or something....(anyone know where he's gone to or have a contact number for him????)
So now I want to take it to a mechanic rather than a service centre to see if I can get a better price...
Please suggest a good, reliable, not-going-to-rip-me-off mechanic.
