Check http://elan.plexapp.com/2012/03/29/this-aint-your-grandfathers-dlna/ for details.

First DLNA release only officially supports PS3 and X360 profiles, works pretty well with my PS3 (once Win FW updated/disabled, installer doesn't do yet).

On the forums people have been trying to cobble together a Samsung TV profile. Still a bit rusty, works for the most part (Video, Photos, Music) but icons/thumbnails still busted and all video formats/transcoding not properly sorted.

PS: New PMS release also support new WP7 client, check http://elan.plexapp.com/2012/03/30/plex-for-windows-phone/ . Interesting comparative perspective of current smartphone OSs.

Also downloaded it yesterday as a media server for PS3. Must say I'm impressed with Plex.

Wireless should work aswell.

In a case where your wireless does not give strong signal, wired will be preferred :)

O_o maybe read your question wrong haha, ummm, you cann connect it to your ADSL Router / Modem too but i think you would need a cross-over cable if going directly from PS3 -> PC.

Do you connect the ps3 to the pc via network cable?

+1 for reporting this update, lots of happy PS3 folks now am sure :D

Me wireless.

Unfortunately the PS3's wireless-G doesn't have enough oomph for largest files (e.g. 13GB 1080p .mkv of Avatar 3D) causing stutter using DLNA from my PMS server .My Samsung 46D6000 TV running native DLNA or embedded Plex clients has no problem using an external 300Mbps wireless-N bridge (AP in client mode with 100Mbps Ethernet inf which can be saturated from same model AP).

Therefore I assume using 100Mbps Ethernet should be fine (as long as your server also has the horsepower to remux large .mkv on the fly) for the PS3, though 720p & below are fine over its wireless-G.

I can't get 5.1 audio when using it, anybody have 5.1 when playing through a PS3, Mezzmo and PS3 Media Server work just fine, but when using PMS all I get is mp3 at a constant 129kbps, I can't seem to figure out where or how to change it.

I did already thanks, just expanding my search for answers.
