Plex Player to install on an old laptop

Im looking for a player that I can install on an old laptop i have so i can play it on my TV. It needs to be able to connect to PLEX. Does anyone have any idea how this can be done?

How old is the laptop? What are the specs?

There are only Windows clients available for PCs, you could try out the new Windows 8 client.
