Hi Everyone

I've sent a mail to [email protected] but haven't had a reply yet, was hoping perhaps someone here could help.

I'm using a Marconi, and going to 10.0.0.2 to set it up for my Openweb account, but I can't connect, getting a connection error. It's all fine when I change back to my Mweb account though.

Could this be a problem with the username and password, or something else?
I've never had any problems with the Marconi or my connection through Mweb.

Many Thanks!

Anything to with DNS addresses ?

Hi Nick

I'm not sure - not really a technical fundi I'm afraid, but I followed all the instructions at the 10.0.0.2 page according to the doc sent by MrBeep (in fact, the only things that change from my Mweb setup are isp, username and password) but I can't get connected.

How would I check if it's a DNS problem?

I wish I could be more help than that, but Im not familiar with the marconi modems.

If openweb havent supplied you with any DNS settings then Im guessing you don't need any. It may be a case of disabling any previous settings. The settings for DNS are under the configuration settings on my modem.

Im just guessing based on my own rather limited knowledge to be honest.

How long ago did you apply for the account btw? Maybe you just need to give them a chance to set it up on their side.

Thanks, Nick.

The account is brand new (yesterday), but since I've been given a username and password and been sent setup info, it should be working imo.

I'm sure it's something small, just need to find what, lol!

Yup it should definitly be up and running then.

Update:

MrB just got back to me, he checked the account and it's not working, he's busy fixing it.

Thanks MrB!
