PLS HELP!!!

Hi ppl,

Just two simples questions i cant seem to get a straight answer for... please be patient bit of a noob!

1. Are the download speeds im gettingon WIMAX of 40kbs on a uncapped 384k line normal or pathetic and does this have anything to do with my distance from tower?

2. Would it make any difference if i had a static ip?

3.Would the same 384k line be any faster if I was using wired adsl instead of wimax??

3) Exactly the same (maybe 2-4kb/s faster, but not noticeably faster)

If you use the uncapped account with ADSL the latency will probably be lower, but the download speed will remain the same.

Next questions if you dont mind?

1. For my office to clock downloads at a max of 400kb what kind of speed line would you guess they must be using? All i know is its wire and the isp is telkom?

To achieve 400Kb download speeds you would have a 4Mb line
