Hi All,

Anyone know much about these? They seem to offer a decent performance boos on KW and NM and are not too expensive. Seems like they would void the warranty but apparently you just remove it for the services.
Are they recommended or could they damage the vehicles? Always wonder why the manufacture wouldn't have these from the beginning if they work....

Firstly, those only work on turbo charged vehicles.

Secondly, yes they can most definitely damage the vehicle.

Thirdly, the reason manufacturers don't have them from the beginning is because it increases turbo boost to increase performance.

Essentially it is increasing your engine output by forcing the Turbo to work harder (by compressing air to higher pressure) which forces more air into the engine which increases the heat output of the engine (and the likelihood of damage).

That is an incredibly basic explanation but you are placing much higher load on the engine by just increasing the performance a few kW.

thanks. Spoke to a few people that have them and all only sing praises. One mate has a Toyota dbl cab and says it turned it from a tank to an economical gti.
