Plugg Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Hey AfricanTech.
Sorry to bust in here like this, but can you tell me what your line speed and ping in D3 is duing the day and night (on average.)

Hi,

Im not on plugg anymore - now on Vox.

At night D3 is green (99%) of the time - that's on the uncapped bolt on.

During the day the same - capped Fatpipe

Line speed (now that the issues of the past couple of weeks have been resolved is around the 8 meg mark

AfricanTech,

Are you switching accounts manually depending on the time of day? I want to use a similar setup (uncapped evenings, capped daytime) but am looking for a way to automate the switching of accounts...

Thanks

It switches automatically.

They don't offer the "FatPipe" (capped internet) + Bolt-On (uncapped) as a bundle any longer.

You can only get the Bolt-On with the Gig4Gig (1st gig free, thereafter pay per gig) nowadays.

Word of warning, people going through the Cape Town IPC have experienced major unhappiness in the last month or so.

Ah I see, thanks.

Saying good bye to Plugg at the end of the month. I will say that overall I have had a good experience. I will reconsider them in a couple of months. First have a million megs to use from Vox with the complements of Samsung.

Howdy,

The phone lines for Plugg Support are currently down due to a Telkom fault. We have no eta at this stage from them.

Please make use of the support alias for any queries - [email protected]

+1

Threads about this ISP has been waaay to quiet.
They've probably lost a lot of customers to other ISPs. They have a very good product; but geez it's expensive compared to the competition. Especially it they're still using the star rating system on their uncapped products.

Mmm, I have been using that Samsung data with a TV deal from Vox. Probably have a month left of data on that, so looking to get a new ISP. Was wondering if I should come back here.
