Hi there all botanists / aspiring botanist or even amateur gardeners

I have been driving past this house fairly regularly, and I have been wondering about these really pretty flowers. Last week I briefly stopped my car in front of the house, and started focusing my old Galaxy S1 on the flowers, when what seemed like 2 neighbourhood watch people started to aggressively stride towards me (armed with bashing weapons!). I quickly snapped the pic, put vehicle into 1st, and made like the wind.

Is anyone able to identify it?

If this is your house, sowwy :o, how about some fwowers?

+1 Bouganvillea , if its got thorns then definitely.

Wow, that was quick. And congratz, you just posted your 1000[SUP]th[/SUP] post! Anyway, a Google Image search for "pink bouganvillea" leads me to believe that you are correct. Are you a veteran gardener?

Amateur at best, but my Dad is a pretty avid gardener, so I did pick up a thing or two from him.

So I guess a quick jump over the fence to rip off a tiny piece off the bush would be a bad idea. Not that I was intending to do that, or anything...

Would not recommend you try that, unless you have full body armour :D
Like Copa, I've also been attacked by one while trying to retrieve a lost cricket ball from below it's branches.

It's not a very exciting story.

The branch was lying in wait, plotting no doubt, and I bumbled along and fell onto it.

Thorn entered leg, massive infection ensued.

Sounds like love at first sight. Boy meets branch, gets laid and finds himself stuck with a massive infection for a while.

They grow the clappers, so I'm sure a bit would not be missed. They come in many colours too.
