PM.exe Error. Please Help

I am getting the following error when starting up my laptop:

"PM.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because WINIO.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

At about the same time I realised that I could not switch on my wireless modem. I presume that these problems are related. Everything else on the laptop seems to be working correctly.

I tried reinstalling Odyssey that controls the wireless modem. No change.

I then did a system restore to 14 July which I think was prior to the problem. No change.
System restores to 11 and then 9 July gave me "not possible" messages. Finally a system restore to 12 July was done successfully but did not remove the fault.

I have all my original software discs so should be able to re-install WINIO.dll. Question is, where do I find it? What program is it part of?

PM = Power Manager - Managers power options as well as switching your wireless on and off....Seems it has been corrupted somehow.

Look on your disks for PM.exe or I would suggest you browse your laptop vendor’s website and try download PM.exe, I am almost certain you will be able to find it on their website.
