I just get "The feature code you have dialed is invalid, please check the code and try again" - then again I'm on Lite :erm:
 
PN 300 = Olivedale West tower
PN 320 = Olivedale Clinic
PN 302 = Bryanston Country Club somewhere.

Those are the ones I can get hold of with my aerial. Tower 320 is down as of this moment :/

Theres no name, hence I'm trying to build up a DB of the names.
Just give the general area you are in or if you know where the tower is exactly.
 
Hey guys, just keep in mind there are 3 cells per tower. Each cell transmits the signal in a different direction. Each cell has a PN

e.g I connect to 2 PN's mostly - 452 and 116 but these come from the same tower called Montana, the 3'rd cell on Montana is 284. Montana station is found in Voortrekker rd, Parow, Cape Town, close to Sanlam Centre.

Another tower close to me is:N1
N1 tower's 3 cells are 140, 308, 476. Tower is located at N1 City.
 
Can't tell you the station numbers (I'm on a Neoflex Router)...

Rose St Jhb-North (is this Olivedale West?)

There also a new base station at corner of Platina and Robyn in Jukskei Park... but its not commissioned yet :(

I am on the edge of this tower's coverage. Only have "Good Indoor" for "High Speed Internet Services" and I haven't signed up yet. I'm wondering what the experiences are of users connected to this tower.
 
The towers are unreliable and your location, distance and angle all play a part is your reception so all user experiences will be different regardless if they connecting to the same PN.

In this week from Monday to Thursday I was getting slow line speeds of 200-300kb, Friday I was getting about 400kb, this morning I hit 1.1mb and now at 1:57 I'm down to a pathetic 170kb. (all these different results were achieved with an external antenna and a constant RSSI of around 47-50)

I would not suggest Neotel at this point, wait for Seacom to kick in and see if things improve.
 
PN 372, station roundabout Maynard Mall in Wynberg. I wish there was a less blind-unfriendly way of identifying RSSI and PN for those sad sods like myself that can't read the device screen. It complicates support calls somewhat.
 
I am in Constantia Kloof, Jhb and connect to tower 376 / 492 with an RSSI that averages in the mid 70s for either tower. Don't know the physical locations.

Tower 320 is back online but I can't run the speed tests because of the storm.

RSSI: 79 with a Yagi Antenna
RSSI: 110 without antenna
 
Ok, i pointed my antenna exactly where it was last time I connected to tower 320 befor it died.

Here is results:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 256 kbps (32 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 47 kbps (5.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
RSSI: 72

Makes me wonder why RSSI is now 72, when it was 58. Epic sigh. Speeds are also no improvement.
