A few weeks ago I reset my iPhone hoping it would solve my iMessage not activating issue with Vodacom. Spoiler I am still unable to activate iMessage...

Another strange issue after the restore was that although the PnP App was on my phone it was not installed. Clicking on it lets me know it was removed from the App Store.

Reaching out to PnP has been fruitless. They give me generic answers that they looking into the issue, its been well over three weeks already what could be the hold up? The Bottles App seems to work and friends still have access to the PnP app albeit they haven't tried uninstalling it first.

Anyone else with this problem.

It seems bottles is the go to app now according to their website.

If you're on an iPhone you can create a digital card using Stocard or Wallet Creator or Pass4Wallet all free

Edit: I don't use Pnp though.

Can you scan your smart shopper card via it at the till? That is what I use mine for...

Nope, and the apps pretty crap as well.

I cannot login with my correct details, I cannot reset my password cause my details are “invalid” and I cannot register cause my details are already registered…

Clearly they tested it all of zero times.

I started playing with Bottles after following this thread - same problem.

The problem with not having their app to scan the QR code, even though it often does not work anyway, is using Stocard means they need to get a supervisor to override the manual entry.

For some reason their scanners won’t scan the barcodes, have the same problem at checkers, not at Woolies though.

This comes down to whether the teller knows how or not. My wife and I started tracking which tills can scan the barcode on the phone, but tills which worked one day wouldn’t the next. Eventually we narrowed it down to certain cashiers. We queue for them now, and the phone is scammed noooooo problem.

I don’t shop nearly often enough or even at the same stores to perform such an in depth analysis yoga the cashiers, especially seeing as my PnP does the single queue thing, you can’t really pick your teller.

Where I go very much depends on what I need, I have 3 PnP, 2 Checkers and 2 Woolies very close and the one I go to depends on what else I may need to get, that’s just way too many damned people to try and keep track of. Lol
