Well my prediction is coming true, more and more cases have come to light.

Which is why we need to rage! If there's enough outcry and media coverage the cases usually go to court and you get an outcome. Too often they get forgotten next week and the officers can get a slap on the wrist and keep their jobs, which they clearly shouldn't have.

I'd rather that there was an internal investigation than having their buddies do it. But then the ICD must be as open about the process as it would be if it went the 'external' route.

Only minor complaints about service and rudeness should be handled internally. Any charges like this, which are serious crimes, should be handled externally. Otherwise it just results in cronyism. Why should an assault charge not go before a judge?

I also think the punishments meted out should be twice as harsh. If you are an officer of the law, you are supposed to set an example.
