Police clearance for a car

A friend of mine's car was stolen and recovered. Apparently he needs to have it cleared. He wants to know how to go about it and how long the process takes

Anyone here have any knowledge of this procedure?

Tell him to visit one of the closest Police station, they will help him quick

As far as I know, Police Clearance can only be done at certain places.

Yeah, someone told him to go there. He left so I'll see how it went when he's back
