Police offer R350k reward for missing constables

...5 come out of the water.

So evidence is at this stage that there are damaged barriers close to the river N1 where two of the bodies was found. Also a grill possibly from a Polo was found on the banks. The river was in flood so the Polo could be downstream.
Al 3 constables bodies have now been found. One was found further down stream.
The forth body is from a worker at Lyttleton police station, that was found in the Renault panel van. Reports say when the river level went down people saw a car(Renault) and phone police.
The 5th body found was decomposed already, not identified, but probably someone that possibly drowned in the recent floods.

If we assume the constables were involved in a car accident and nothing shady is going on, then what are the odds that the gardener whose body was also found and also worked for SAPS (as a gardener at Lyttleton police station) also crashed through the barrier and ended up in the river at around the same time???

Coincidence of the year ....

And did the Polo just dissolve in the river?
 
This story is very odd. So, this Lyttelton police station admin clerk had also been missing and it just wasn't reported? If the Polo is in the river somewhere how'd the bodies end up outside if they were trapped enough to drown or were they flung out on impact. Then there's their devices and tracking going off near the Grasmere plaza.

The Kangoo was not found near the N1 where the other car went in. It was found between End street and Blackwood street. That area floods a few times every year with heavy rain and the roads get closed often with fooding. SO I am pretty sure its totally unrelated.

Kangoo driver was visiting friends in Centurion Saturday night and drove home and went missing.

As for the Grasmere thing. I don't know where people get their info. Grasmere toll plaza was the last toll gate that their vehicle was picked up by cameras.
The last signal from the tracking device was close to John Voster offramp, John Voster offramp is literally a few hundred meter form the place they went into the river. So I guess the tracking device stopped working the moment the car went underwater.

I see, IOL are still reporting the grasmere thing. It's interesting that no one thought to look into damaged side rail. The road is supposed to be under monitoring and regular maintenance by SANRAL.

More likely drinking buddies. People don't realize how lazy and how common drinking on he job is in the police service

Reminds me of another case of missing teenagers that people initially though were crime related but drowned while driving their car into a dam
