I'm fuming. I saw that Outsurance has started doing Life/Death/Disability/Dread Disease cover, and I read their policy document (which you can download off their website), and it looks good. So I wanted to compate their policy to the one I currently have with Momentum.
So I look around the house, and can't find my policy document. And I start wondering if they did ever actually post it to me, or if I've just lost it somehow. No problem, I think, I'll log on to their site and find it. But even though I can see all my policy details (beneficiaries, monthly payments, etc) I can't find the actual policy document - the terms under which I'm covered, what I can claim for, etc.
So again, no problem, I think. I'll ask them to email me a copy.
Except that I get a reply saying that they sent me one when I took out the policy, and they won't send me another one unless I fill in their form, get it signed by a commissioner of oaths, and send them R100!
That is absolutely insane! They're saying that I cannot find out what I can claim for, without paying them R100. It's not as though there's a free online version, but I can pay for a hard copy - nope, I have to pay R100 just to see my contract.
Surely this can't be legal?! (And it's certainly not good customer service - if i wasn't seriously considering outsurance before, due to the mission involved in switching, I certainly am now!)
