Hi All

Does anybody know the cost of a polo 2001 computer box?
Also where in cape town can I source one from?
 
Friend of mine lost all his keys for his polo classic. Was in the Region of 11k for new ECU, locks and keys from VW.
Find one from a VW scrap yard. But remember to get all the keys and locks too.
 
You can also fit an after market ECU like a GoTech : http://www.gotech.co.za
That might be the cheapest and it has no security constraints. I know of a few people that did this with Corsa Lites which had one of the early transponder-in-key implementations.
 
Revo is just a software flash for your existing ECU, and this hardly is necessary on an unmodified car, especially Naturally aspirated cars. Entry Level after market ECU's also has little benefits for a road going standard car and in most cases like that is a downgrade.

The OP needs to perhaps explain more what he has and what is wrong before this turns into a swap engine to a faster one thread..

Was always under the impression they have aftermarket ECUs? If not just get a MrTurbo ECU then.
 
thanks guys for all the replies but it was for a friend of mine she has sourced a second hand one for R1500
