Polo 2006 model oil light on ?

Hi Guys,

Before i take the car in to get checked out, i want to hear from anyone else if they experienced the same problem.
When starting the car, the red oil light goes on beeps and then remains on for a good few minutes ...the car also sounds a bit rough then after that it sounds fine and the red oil light is off. I stopped twice at garages and they checked the oil level and for leaks and there were none and the oil level was fine.

In the JHB area , any "reputable" places to take a polo in for a service and brake pads replacing without breaking the bank ? I have used the dealer to service the car up to now , not worth spending a good couple K to keep a perfect full service history on a soon to be 6year old car.

Oil pressure is low. Perhaps the pump is on its way out.

Take it to Car Service City if you do not want to go the dealer route.

Where in JHB? I get my polo serviced at my local mechanic, and they have done a good job so far.
