FINALLY, BCO can relax, The Blue Motion Polo and Golf have arrived!!:D

3.8 l/100...not bad and actually better than a Prius!:p:p

Awesome, although I'm more excited about this :o

It was a little disappointing that they didn't bring in the TSI engines, but with the GTI they have no choice :)

YAY! I could live with 55kW... it's 3kW better than my current car :). At that price, not half bad. Diesel emissions aren't that much of a problem, either, since all the newer VWs have particulate filters.

Never mind the Prius, Fazda, it's better than the Honda CR-Z.

132kw isn't bad!
Considering it's a 1.4, that's really good. More importantly, 250Nm of torque.

The new Polo BlueMotion can sprint to 100km/h from rest in 13.9 seconds ...
... 55kW produced at 4200rpm ...

What's the point of fuel economy if you can't even keep up with the traffic?
I mean seriously ... you're going to be a constant cause of frustration for Gauteng and Eastern Cape drivers who will probably be happy to push you off the road.
R175K for a car powered by a moped engine? No thank you ...

I managed to survive just fine up on the reef with a 44kw naturally aspirated car for over a year. So a 55kw forced induction car up here in JHB will do just fine. 3.4l/100km is a serious technical achievement.

Can't keep up with traffic? Bwhahahahahahahaha!

As mentioned in another post, I drive a car with 52kW @ 5500rpm and 105Nm @ ~3800rpm, and I'm usually ahead of the other traffic.

Yeah but you're from Cape Town ... everyone knows Capetonians can't drive. :)
Hence my comment was referring to GP and the Eastern Cape where traffic lights are just the separators between multiple drag strips.
Up in GP if your car can't do 0-100km/h in 11 seconds or under, you're going to be run over.
