Polo high theft / hijacking risk?

So how does one buy a polo if you have to stress over it being stolen . Where's the joy in buying what you want but have to be afraid of what could happen to it

It's one thing for a Polo to get stolen - that's why you have insurance.

But what if you get seriously injured or lose a loved one due to a hijacking, seeing as they are prime suspect cars for syndicates? That's not worth the 'joy of buying' IMHO

why would anybody want to buy a car that is constantly on the most hijacked lists?

I mean its like walking around with a banner saying hijack please

how many people on this forum have had polos stolen/hijacked in the past year, I can bet there are quite a lot,

yes its popular, but for all the wrong reasons.

Me. I wasn't highjacked, but it was stolen from outside my cricket club sometime during the course of the evening. This was in 2011 though...

Been doing it for years. I'll stop once people stop buying them ad nauseam.
Previous polo's - yip, I agree they were crap.
New one tho - had a few as rentals, would pick them over Ford and Opel.
DSG equipped ones are fun to drive.

My polo (1.6 comfortline) was also stolen during March 2014. This as such "forced" me to purchase a G7 GTI DSG and although the risk was probably even higher the Golf provided 3 years and 75 000 problem free km's - one of the best allround vehicles that I've ever owned. :)

Sigh...and you continue with your weird use of punctuation and spacing...

And no, a Polo is not like having a banner saying "Hijack, please"...for every Polo owner that had his car hijacked or stolen, I can show you two who still have theirs. Sure, a Polo is more popular than your beloved Picanto or Brio, but it is certainly not as bad as you make it out to be.

heil grammer nazi.....

yes many still have their polos, but driving at night in an unlit street, or in a "hijack" zone,
like a township, like alex or tembisa,

you asking for trouble, as those cars attract attention, the wrong kind,
I mean there is a reason insurance companies ALL make you pay extra to insure them
and they work on statistics,

Hitler orders you to end your sentences with full stops, not commas. Do you accept the challenge?

PS. Sentences get ended with full stops, not commas.
PPS. You can't read properly. I wasn't mentioning your grammar. I was commenting on your punctuation (and spacing). Grammar and punctuation...two different things. So call me punctuation nazi if you have to. But please, FFS, stop ending your sentences with commas!!!!!!!!

Hah, 1/3 isn't good odds.
