Pomegranates

And passion fruit. I want a plant i have been everywhere and i can not find one. Not even the fruit. i think i would like a pomeganates tree to.....

Not of any help but still on topic: I used to have a tree in my back yard growing up, loved to eat them but always ended up with the 'hairy tooth' or 'wol-tand' as it is otherwise known... that strange sensation that your teeth have sprouted fuzz.

Have you eaten them before and have you noticed this effect?

The last time I ate those, I got them off a tree at some uber-Afrikaans boer event. For some reason some of the very old boer houses have rows & rows of the stuff.

A fruit & veg is your best bet....I doubt they will have them though. And if they do, its going to have a horrible bang per buck ratio...those things are mostly pits anyway.

you trow them and they explode like grenades on impact, and then everyone looks like they got blood all over them.

plenty fun.

Woolworths.

You lucky!! Here in the east of jhb they think that there is 4 fruits bananas, orages, lemons and grapes. If you get really kucky woolies will have strawberries and grapefruits:D:(:(

I have only ever eaten the pits (?).

I am in northern Jhb and things are no better! Woolworths do not have the fruits themselves, but only the pits, which they sell in their fruit salads or seperately.

I think you're out of luck. AFAIK they are winter fruit in the Southern hemisphere - so only available in the winter months

i said it once, and i'll say it again.

GrEnAtA !!!!!

ok ok i'll stop...
