Hi all

My fiber connection has been down for nearly 3 weeks now. I've called my ISP, Mweb, almost everyday who say they have been logging a ticket with openserve but cannot resolve the issue.

The PON LED on my Huawei ONT keeps blinking and fails to establish a sync. Openserve claims that everything is fine with line. I've replaced all the cables and made sure that my MESH routers are working correctly. The only thing I can think of is that the ONT is faulty. Openserve is refusing to send out a technician to assess the fault, and its not possible to buy an ONT on the open market.

Can anyone provide a possible solution?

Maybe a rat chewed your fibre in the roof.

Check your box on the street, maybe someone fiddled.
