Poo power

Hey thats Didcot power station in the background.

Slightly amusing that this is a British Gas project and their direct competition, nPower's power station pictured in the background.

nPower must be cringing at this picture which by the way appears a deliberate jab at them since their power station burns coal and pollutes the atmosphere and has seen many attacks from environmental activists.
 
There is a lot crap in Joburg and they also have a gas works plant near Braamfontein, so maybe they can also implement this tech over there, although I wouldnt recommend staying nearby. Does the gas works still exist ?
 
Excellent idea as Malema alone produces enough gas to power a small city for a few months.
 
Cant open the link...blocked on work PC....will read when I get home. But for those that read the article...surely using poo for power is not environmentaly friendly?

LOL....sorry Dawg...like I said....i could not read the article as the website is blocked on my work pc....read it now. I thought they were making like chacoal or something out of poo and then burning that to fire up power plants! lol....thats why I said not very environmentally friendly.....but this makes sense. I am surprised that it has not been going on for much longer!!!!!!!!
 
hmmm, something like this could make me VERy rich. I can power a small town by myself...
 
My company has been trying to get this going in South Africa.
