What works for me is that I can push-to-talk to someone even if they are not currently logged in. They get my voice message as soon as they are online.

EISH :(

Well I tried this pooosh thing. When I signed on in the program it sent me an SMS with an activation code.

So when I got to the "enter activation code" part it would not accept the code because my phone K800 was not allowing the 0 number in front no matter what I tried :/

It kept kicking the 0 out as though it were treating the code number as a figure like calculators do. So then I tried re-installing the app to try register again but obviously now it is already linked to my cell number and wont allow me in as I have not been activated. LOL what a pain in the @rse!. Will see what I can try find out support wise.

Ask them for another activation code pref without any zeros?

Every system has a manual way around :)

unless you activate on another phone?

edit: cant u type the activation code into a note/texteditor on your phone and then copy the code, and paste it when asked for the code?

Seeing as I have re-installed the app I think it has buggered up the whole activation process as I cant get to the menu that asks to enter the code anymore. I did think about the text editor copy paste but it is too late :(

I am trying to ask them for support right now so will see what happens :)

Hi Buddha,

The reason Pooosh did not go for the voip route to kick off, is that voip over GSM limits the market penetration due to the requirements of the handsets, to run the application. (The same can be said about the GSM Networks Push to Talk offering) there are a limited number of phones that can do it. In addition, people already complain about VOIP over ADSL (No QOS) then Voip over 3G is even worse. Pooosh would have no control over the experience. GSM 3G has no QOS. We believe that Push to talk provides a great stepping stone and would make this useful application more accessible to more of the market. Our intention is to progress the Windows mobile version into a full VOIP offering as the market moves there over time. Its not difficult to provide, we choose not to go there right now for the reasons stated above. This product is an alternate to the GSM Networks "Push to talk" offering (and more). The GSM Networks, in my opinion have overpriced it, purely to save any erosion of their current voice revenue. In addition Pooosh is packed it with some other useful functionality.

Hope that all makes sense.

And did they respond?

Yes they responded really well I was shocked :) they even gave me a few freebies and in return I explained exactly what happened and they said they wanted to know in order to replicate the problem to avoid it in future for their customers :)

Really good service I must say :) tx.
